Woman Found Dead In Car, Police Investigating

TACOMA, WA — The Tacoma Police Department has opened an investigation after a woman was found dead with a gunshot wound inside a parked car early Monday morning. The investigation began just before 4 a.m., when officers received a call reporting that someone had been shot in the 4900 block of S Burlington Way. Once there, officers quickly found a woman, dead inside a vehicle nearby. Little else about the crime has been released, though officers say they are investigating the shooting as a homicide, and that detectives and crime scene technicians were called in to scour the scene for more information.
