Compete against kids here in Huntsville to build the Ultimate Minecraft Creation! Cash Prizes! Create Your Craft! Minecraft Madness! You will flex your Minecraft skills to build a prompt idea within 3 hours. You will work individually to build and your creation to match the prompt. Your design will be judged by a panel of local judges. Please eat lunch before you come. Orientation and set up is from 12 to 12:30. The competition goes from 12:30 to 3:30pm. Snacks can be eaten in our kitchen area if they bring any. Competitors will leave with their guardians from 3:30 to 4:30 to allow for judges to review submissions. Awards ceremony will be from 4:30 to 5. IMPORTANT We are not providing computers or copies of the game. You must bring your own devices AND its charging cord. A laptop is the preferred choice but you can build on anything. Nintendo Switches, phones, or iPads may work but we will not weight a "device disadvantage" in judging. Heck, you can bring a console but you'll need to bring a TV too. Competitors must be 10 to 18 years old. Depending on the group attending, age may or not be weighted in judging. Our last winners were relatively young. However, good behavior and respect to our facility is a requirement of all ages. First prize is $200. Second is $150. Third is $100. UAH requires masks on campus. Once spread out, we can provide other options. Owner of VGDC, Carl is a local entrepreneur and proud-to-claim-it nerd. Also the owner of Zellus Marketing, Carl saw a need for geeky extracurricular activities besides science or engineering.
