LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Several crimes, including assaults and car thefts, were reported in Loudoun County over the weekend. Authorities compiled the incidents in their report on Monday. At 12 p.m. on Saturday, authorities received a report of an assault in Sterling. Deputies determined that two people were picking up scrap metal from the site on Monterey Place. When they arrived at the job site, another man assaulted them, according to the police report. The two victims were injured, but authorities did not specify the extent of their injuries. The sheriff's office identified the suspect as Keith Delawder, a 55-year-old from Aldie. Police charged him with assault and assault with malicious intent. At 2 a.m. on Sunday, deputies responded to another assault at Jefferson Ale House in Ashburn. When they arrived on the scene, deputies found two people who had been assaulted. Someone stole a 2019 green Dodge Charger with yellow fenders from the parking lot of a Leesburg apartment building. A woman in Ashburn told police that someone she knew stole her 2013 Hyundai Sonata. The sheriff's office is still investigating the thefts. On Sunday evening in Ashburn, a woman on Prescott Green Square in Ashburn told police that boys were shooting paintballs at her front door.
