4 Danbury Lawmakers Earn Perfect Grades On Conservation Scorecard

DANBURY, CT — The Connecticut League of Conservation Voters released its 2021 Environmental Scorecard, showing high marks for four lawmakers representing Danbury in Hartford. State Representatives Raghib Allie-Brennan, Ken Gucker, Bob Godfrey and David Arconti each received a perfect score of 100. The scorecard grades legislators on a 0-100 scale based on their votes on environmental bills in committees, the Senate, and the House. It is intended to hold lawmakers accountable for their advocacy and commitment toward moving climate related legislation through the state legislature. The 2021 final score is the average of the legislator's individual votes on key bills the league scores "Communities throughout Connecticut are experiencing the effects of climate change, and it's critically important that the legislature continues to take steps to protect the health of our environment and ensure the resiliency of our communities," Allie-Brennan said. "I was proud to bring critical pieces of legislation to the House Floor last session, including An Act Concerning the Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy Program, which offers businesses a tool to pay for zero-emission vehicle infrastructure and resiliency measures, to address the climate crisis." This is the first scorecard that CTLCV has produced since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
