BROOKFIELD, CT — Law enforcement in Brookfield has taken to social media to request residents to clean the ice from their cars. Citing a state statute, Brookfield police officials are warning the community "to remove accumulated ice or snow from your motor vehicle, including the hood, trunk, and roof before the vehicle is operated on any street or highway." Fines for those who violate the law range from $75 to $1,250. The driver of the car in the photos above was not injured and was able to safely get off the road and into a nearby parking lot, according to police.
