Attempted Annapolis Murder Hospitalizes 1, Prompts Arrest: Police

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A man was shot and hospitalized Friday in Annapolis, police announced. Officers said they arrested a suspect the next day and charged him with seven offenses related to the crime, including attempted murder. Authorities identified the arrestee as 35-year-old Keith Taylor of Annapolis. Police responded to the shooting in the 1700 block of Forest Drive around 11:33 p.m. Officers said they found the shooting victim on the scene. Medics took the man to an unnamed hospital, a press release said. Authorities expect him to survive. Police spotted and arrested Taylor in the 200 block of Boxwood Road. Taylor is held at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center without bond, officers said. The investigation is ongoing. The Annapolis Police Department asked anybody with information to call detectives at 410-260-3439.
