FREMONT, CA — A motorcyclist was hospitalized with major injuries Friday morning after colliding with another car on southbound Interstate Highway 880 in Fremont, according to the California Highway Patrol. The CHP issued a sig-alert after the crash, reported about 6 a.m. It blocked lanes near the Dixon Landing Road offramp. Shortly before 7 a.m., the alert was lifted and lanes reopened, the CHP said.
