FREMONT, CA — Thirteen Fremont schools were closed on Thursday because of emailed bomb and shooting threats received for the schools. The Fremont Police Department checked the schools and the threats were deemed not credible. However, Fremont Unified School District closed all 13 of the schools for the day and staff members were sent home. The schools that received threats: Warwick ElementaryMillard ElementaryHirsch ElementaryWarm Springs ElementaryMaloney ElementaryPatterson ElementaryOliveira ElementaryNiles ElementaryMission Valley ElementaryThornton Junior High SchoolRobertson High SchoolMission San Jose High SchoolWashington High School School will resume normally on Friday, the district said on its website. Overnight, anonymous bomb threat email messages were sent to 13 @USDFremont schools. Our SRO team is working directly with FUSD and will conduct a site security walk through at each campus.
