Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the multi-agency Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said Monday morning that Northport Police officers were called to the residence at approximately 11:30 p.m.
The victim was located and found to have a minor head injury, while Kristopher Andrew Oliver, 33, was charged with attempted murder and transported to the Tuscaloosa County Jail.
His bond was set at $60,000.
"The female victim reported that she allowed an acquaintance to live with her temporarily," Kennedy said. "There was no reported romantic relationship between the two. The victim reported that during a discussion concerning the suspect's future, he, without warning, produced a pistol and pointed it at her. As the victim was trying to react, the pistol fired one time, grazing the victim's head, causing a non-life threatening injury."
