Press release from the City of Shakopee: September 2, 2020 The Lions Park splash pad will remain open into October. Typically, the splash pad closes on Labor Day, but the Shakopee Public Works and Parks and Recreation departments will keep the water feature running for at a few more weeks. The splash pad is a popular summer recreation destination and has been especially popular this year since SandVenture Aquatic Park was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Lions Park splash pad will remain open as long as weather cooperates. Future updates about the splash pad will be posted on the city's website.
