Press release from the City of Shakopee: October 30, 2020 The City of Shakopee is pleased to announce the winners of the 2020 Show Off Shakopee Photo Contest. This year's grand prize winner, "O'Dowd Lake Bolt Launch," was submitted in the Nature & Landmarks category. Photographer Steve Brock will receive $100 for his winning photograph. The Active Living category winner is "Swing" by Christopher Straub. The Fun at Parks winner is "Climbing to New Heights" by Sonja Keltgen. Each photograph will receive $50. New this year, the community also chose its People's Choice winner via social media. The 2020 People's Choice Winner is "Frozen Park" by Randy Monnens. See the photos at www.ShakopeeMN.gov/showoffshakopee. The winners will be recognized at the Nov. 17 City Council meeting. The photographs will be displayed at city hall, the Community Center and Shakopee Public Library. More than 80 photos were submitted to this year's contest.
