WESTLAKE, OH — The annual Run Santa Run 5K will be held Sunday at Crocker Park.
The "fun and jolly" race will begin at 9:30 a.m. in front of Market Square (down the street from Gap and Condado Taco).
Runners and walkers should wear their best Santa attire for the 5K. The route is flat and will end at Market Square, after winding throughout Westlake. Participants get a swag bag with Santa attire, a race T-shirt, hat, bag, face mask, neck gaiter, chip time and awards.
"We look forward to this festive event year after year," said Stacie Schmidt, vice president, Stark Enterprises. "The Run Santa Run 5K is a great excuse to get out and get active while celebrating the holiday season in a safe and socially distanced manner. After the race, participants can continue celebrating by visiting our holiday experiences around Crocker Park, shopping, and eating a great brunch at one of our dining options, like Burntwood Tavern!"
Runners and walker can pick up their race day packets from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. on Sunday. Registration is open until Dec. 12 and is $30. Anyone who registers on the day of the race, Dec. 13, will pay $35.
Following the race, Burntwood Tavern is offering a free mimosa or beer to any participants who shows their running bib. Doors open at the restaurant at 10 a.m.
Registration can be done online.
