KEY TASKS & QUALIFICATIONS:
> Functional employee groups are essential elements for a successful operation.
> Interface with shipping clerks and follow planned shipping schedules.
> Inventory control and documentation of rack and supplies.
> Operation of hand or ground throw switches, derails, gates, etc.
> Perform daily locomotive checks; general locomotive of trucks and/or rail operations.
> Prepare track sheet and inspection sheet.
> Receive product by bulk trucks, and rail and this position is tasked with the efficient handling of product in both receiving and shipping.
> Responsible for communicating well with the local railroad while moving rail cars in the switchyard.
> Spotting tank cars in the load rack.
> The way trucks are expedited, customers are handled, and qualities are ensured are key functions of this position.
> Timely and correct switching and placement of rail cars.
> Must have experience moving and/or coordinating for trucking or train/rail operations.
> Must have the ability to stand for long periods and work while sitting, bending, twisting and/or climbing many flights of stairs.
> Must be able to work at heights, in enclosed spaces, near water, work around moving equipment and machinery.
