4y/o M Staffie in desperate need of forever home

Tony is a 4 year old Staffordshire terrier, Unaltered. (More info at bottom) Background: He came to us after bouncing from home to home, He’s been abandoned, neglected and possibly abused in his previous homes. We took him in to rehabilitate him and find him his forever home. We never intended to adopt or keep him, He has now been with us for over a year, and is doing really well. We have not been able to find him a home, shelters and rescues will not work with us, we have no friends or family who will take him, and we are running out of options. I lost my job in October and my ability to care for him has really been cut back because of this, we are also moving across the country in October. Having him in our care, while wonderful, has become a big stressor and we have no where to turn. I am coming to Craigslist with the full story hoping the right person will see this. He is high energy and needs someone who is ok with that and has patience. He also has a lot of anxiety making new places and faces very difficult. He does well in the car, but may take him a minute to settle down. He’s good on a leash He is good with cats, He is also good with livestock but because of his energy may need supervision, We don’t have children so I cannot speak to this, He does fairly well with other dogs, we’ve had quite a few successful puppy playdates, however i will add the disclaimer that not every interaction with other dogs has been smooth. This meaning he has been anxious and barking at some other dogs. Or over excited and other dogs did not appreciate it. He has never bitten any people or animals while in our care and does not appear to be aggressive He is very sweet, Loves sun bathing, running, Watching you clean and do yard work, Hes bad at cuddling but he tries, He loves his bone and plushies, athough if he doesnt totally love the toy it will either remain untouched for months or eaten in minutes. Fully housebroken He is trained to a crate, to free roam a fenced yard, and to a runner. He himself is not a runner and doesn’t usually stray too far from us, If youve made it this far and think it might be a good fit please contact me, We are only asking a $50 rehoming fee since that js about what his food costs a month.
