HOURS:
Typical working hours will be 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. with one hour for lunch, a fifteen-minute break in the morning and a fifteen minute break in the afternoon.
Work week is normally Monday through Friday but because of the responsibilities associated with maintenance and repair on residential apartment units, these hours may be flexible. Some weekend work will be required. Pay is on a bi-weekly pay period.
Our laborer will assist Carpentry, Plumbing, and General Maintenance staff in upkeep of residential apartment units. In addition to supplementing project work, the laborer will assist with grounds keeping, trash pickup, clean out of abandoned units, and other tasks as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow instructions and perform manual labor tasks.
Clean properties and worksites of trash and debris.
Assist carpenters, painters, plumbers and maintenance staff with onsite projects, including demolition and removal of old finishes.
Run errands to collect supplies from vendors and deliver them to the worksite.
Working knowledge of hand tools, garden implements and power tools.
REQUIREMENTS:
Current OSHA 10 card – we can help successful candidate obtain this certification.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Good physical dexterity and hand eye coordination.
Ability to perform physically demanding work on a consistent basis, including lifting.
Driver’s license and good driving record, reliable transportation to and from jobsites.
