"Dixie" - Female Corgi/Italian Greyhound Mix for Rehome

Description
This is Dixie! Dixie is a Corgi/Italian Greyhound mix and weighs about 25-30lbs. She's approx. 4yrs old, UTD on shots and spayed. Her mom isn't able to care for her anymore so I've agreed to foster her until permanent placement is found. Dixie is a real sweetie! Like most Corgis, she's very much a "velcro doggie" and always wants to be next to her person. She was terrified when I first brought her home and was aggressive with my dominant dog and cat but everyone chilled out after only a few days. It's been one whole week and now my male cat rubs up against her and she doesn't even notice him. She tries to (legit) play with my XL bird so she really can't safely live with one (worried she could paw and hurt my Macaw), but a laid back/aloof dog and/or cat will be her best bud(s) after she gets to know them. Like most animals, two weeks is usually a good time for any animal(s) to get comfy within a household (and with other pets) but she did great after only a few days which is really, really good. She still has a little bit of food aggression with my dog where she growls at him (but he can be a real jerk anyway). For the most, she respects him and keeps her distance, which is great and means she knows her place. She's house trained and we're starting to work on her "manners" and basic commands so she's all wiggle-butt(ers) right now. "Squirmy Wormy" wants to get on the sofa and bed with you (and will literally lay on top of you if you let her) but she's starting to listen to get off of the sofa and only allowed on the bed when she's invited. She hasn't tried to sneak and eat any people food so that's one less thing to worry about. Since she plays a little rough and still jumps to greet you, she'd do best with just new pawrents or in a family with kids 7yrs+ (just wouldn't want her to hurt anyone accidentally is all). Adoption fee is only $125, just to cover her care here. Dixie will come with her vet records, collar, food, box of bone "cookies," and training treats. She just had nail trim and has a new leash and a no-pull harness, a small bed and a few toys. Her favorite pink ball and some other tennis balls will come with her as well. She currently eats Rachel Ray's dry food but I've been mixing in a little bit of Iams to wean her to that instead (less expensive but still a great food). I would need to bring her to meet you, once to introduce you and the second time to "move her in." I really want to find the right home for her so this will help everyone make sure she'd be a good fit. Please LMK if you have any questions. I put my phone on do not disturb after 10p so I may not see texts until the next morning but I will get back to you. If I miss your call, please leave a message and I'll call you back as soon as I can. Thanks!
