I’m recently now on disability. I went from working full time to stuck at home. I am looking for a medium to large breed dog/puppy. I have trained dogs in the past and worked with deaf,blind, and behavioral issues. I have a Great Dane who is a big baby but can’t cut it on the trails. I like to hike, camp, fish, and general be in the water and outside. My Dane comes with me minus hiking harder trails like turkey run. I am looking at shelters and rescues but figured I would put an add up here as well. What I am looking for in a dog is a dog who is medium to large breed fully grown. A dog who is ok with dogs, kids, other people, or has the potential to be ok with some training. I like Danes, German shepherds, Belgian malinios, Dobermans, mastiffs, and similar breeds. I am ok with taking in a special needs dog. I have the means to care and train a dog who needs extra care. I am willing to pay a fee but I am not going to pay an akc fee for a mix breed without shots. I am generally looking for a dog who needs a home with someone who can be home all day provide training and care and not end up in a shelter. I am also open to a puppy, and possibly a senior dog.
