Monday Night Movement Meditation: Join Shanna Tabatcher in an evening of Embodied Movement /Conscious Dance & Yoga Nidra. Monday Night Movement Meditation Join Certified Mind Body Practitioner and Yoga Nidra teacher, Shanna Tabatcher, in an evening of Embodied Movement/Conscious Dance & Yoga Nidra. The evening will consist of 1 hour of embodied movement followed by a 30 minute yoga nidra. Embodied movement /Conscious Dance uses music and somatic guidance cues to create the container for self-discovery. Shanna will use cues to help bring awareness to different sensations in the body, feelings, emotions, or thoughts in order to express them through the body. Many different modalities exist to create an environment of self-awareness and healing-this is just one of the many ways. Embodied movement is a way to quiet the mind in order to tune in to the breath, body, intuition, emotions and feelings. It's a way to express with the body what is happening on the inside without judgment or analyzing. There is so much freedom and healing in not having to use words to express what we are feeling! What many discover is that this practice has direct application to our lives. It is through an embodied practice that we can honor the full range of our emotions and life experiences without judgement in order to build the resiliency we need to thrive in this crazy world. All of you is welcome in this practice. Yoga Nidra is considered the "yoga of aware sleep." Yoga nidra is the practice of deep sleep-your body is relaxed while your mind floats between consciousness and unconsciousness. It is a powerful meditation technique to promote the connection between the mind, body, and soul.
