Spring brings colors and light, as daylight savings brings brighter days and warm weather brings more fresh air and health to all. Featuring composers Thierry deMay, David Krebs, Ernst Papier, Astor Piazzolla, Mark Popeney and George-Phillip Telemann. ChagallPAC Artists-in-Residence, composers, and performers will present their art in this festival celebrating the wonder and warmth of light and colors that breathe an atmosphere of merriment and social harmony. Through projection art, installation, poetry and performance, we explore twilight and the transitional space between seasons, night and day, and community interaction. Featuring tangos by Astor Piazzolla, dances by JS Bach, and projection art by Dennis Shafer and Robert Odell. Also featuring The ChagallPAC Saxophone Quartet. Twilight Market: featuring jewelry and art by Fairy Forest Jewelry, Grapeland Homegrown Productions, and Sadie’s Beads, as well as acrylic pour paintings by Robert Odell. Saturday, March 12th, 7pm ChagallPAC Premiere Concert **Old Town Hall** $20 A program of performance art, including works by Thierry de Mey, Astor Piazzolla, a world-premiere by composer Mark Popeney, and a Soundpainting composition by Dennis Shafer. This performance features the music faculty of ChagallPAC in the first ever premiere performance with all Artists’ Row teaching artists. Saturday, March 12th, 8:30pm ChagallPAC Interactive Installation Art Show *Old Town Hall** $20 After the show downstairs in Old Town Hall, venture upstairs for a mystical playing in the shadows, exploring the play of light and dark and the colors between. Installation art by David Krebs and Diana Norma Szokolyai. ALSO AT THE FESTIVAL: Friday, March 11th, 6pm ChagallPAC Visual/Jewelry Arts Showcase FREE Meet the Artists-in-Residence, explore their work and stories around their work and how they create their art. Friday, March 11th, 8pm ChagallPAC Music Faculty Showcase FREE Featuring ChagallPAC teaching artists performing their favorite works for violin, flute, saxophone, trumpet, marimba, guitar and piano.
