Description

Learn about vermouth, its history, and the cocktails in this hands-on interactive mixology class. What is vermouth? How did it get to America and become essential in so many classic cocktails? These are the questions we'll be answering. Not only will you learn the history of Italy's famous drink, vermouth, but you'll also make vermouth-based drinks. Sample different styles of vermouth while learning the stories behind this often neglected ingredient. Mix some classic drinks, enjoy appetizers, and take home a recipe booklet to further your vermouth exploration at home. Enjoy an afternoon of vintage barware, locally made products, and sipping Italian-style. This interactive cocktail class combines history and mixology. Hogwash master mixologist Simon Moorby walks guests step-by-step through the making of 3 drinks. Cocktail historian, Renée Cebula of Raising the Bar, tells the stories of how these ingredients came together in classic American cocktails. Class set-up includes bartending stations with all the necessary tools, fresh-made and prepped ingredients, and vintage glassware. Shake, swirl, and sip in style as you hear the stories, learn the techniques, and develop your palate. Tickets are $65 per person. Your ticket includes three crafted drinks, mixology and history lessons, appetizer, and souvenir recipe booklet. Must be 21 and over. Class is limited to 24 guests. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding. If you have questions, please email Renée at [email protected].
