Description
This is Bun Bun. She’s an absolute sweetheart of a dog that’s eager to learn and is highly trainable. She is a rescue that we are fostering until we can find her the perfect forever home! Some info about Bun Bun: - She is very affectionate and loves human attention. She does not do well as a solitary dog left outside but instead needs to be someone’s best friend. - She does very well with other large dogs. She has lots of fun playing with other large dogs and shows no toy aggression with them. She’s able to share toys and play tug of war with no issues. - She shows no food aggression to people or other dogs. You can pet her while she eats or take her food away without her reacting. - She does show a prey drive towards small dogs and cats. We have chihuahuas and cats here now and she will focus on them and want to chase them around, although hasn’t shown an interest in harming them. But the fact that she sees them as “cool toys” instead of fellow dogs is the reason we can’t keep her ourselves. - She is crate trained and sleeps all night in a crate. - She is great in the car and absolutely loves gazing out the window or sleeping on the back floorboard. - She really loves training sessions and is very eager to learn. We have taught her sit, attention, her recall is great and she responds very well to correction when she is doing something she shouldn’t and can easily be redirected. She is also learning “leave it” for things you don’t want her to touch or “lose it” for things she already has but she needs to drop. - She loves toys very much and is quite energetic but throw a bone around with her for 15 minutes and she’ll be down for a 3 hour nap! - She really likes playing in water and will sit in a shallow pond and splash around. What we are looking for in her new family/home: - No small dogs or indoor cats that are in close quarters with her. - People that are home enough that she isn’t left alone too often. She’s very affectionate and thrives on human interaction. - A secure, fenced in yard that she can’t easily escape from. - She can’t just be an outside dog. She needs to have access to being inside with her family and lounging with her favorite people. The Palm Spring summers are also an important reason to have her inside. If you’re interested in adopting Bun Bun, reply to this ad and we will ask you some questions to see if you’re a good fit. If that all goes well we will schedule a meet and greet and bring her to your house for an introduction. If everyone is happy and ready to commit, you and Bun Bun can get started being best friends! Thanks so much!
