A fascinating program exploring the connection between food and opera. Followed by an international array of appetizers and wine. Drawing upon examples in such diverse operas as The Merry Widow, Macbeth, and Nixon in China, Rosanne Martorella will lead us through how composers used banquet scenes to express additional meaning to their music.
