Description
After being postponed twice, our Annual Charity Auction will take place on Tuesday April 19, 2022. Doors open at 6:00, with dinner at 6:30. This year it will be held at St. Joseph's parish hall in Wakefield. This fun evening will begin with dinner from Harrow's Chicken Pie, followed by a "blind" auction, silent auction, and a raffle. Coffee and dessert are included too. Many of the donated auction items will be wrapped so guests will bid for surprise items. It's really fun to guess what might be inside a package based on size, shape and weight. Bidding starts at around $5, and guests can bid as little or as much as they want. We would like to thank many businesses in the community who have already donated items to the Auction. These businesses include: Laurie's 909 Catering, A Balanced Self, Fringe on Main, North Ave Diner, and Mel and Sons of Wakefield, Calaresso's Farm Stand, and The Chocolate Truffle of Reading, Impress Graphics and Medispa Caring for All of Woburn, Kennedy's Ice Cream Bar, Beacon Hill Wine & Gourmet, Everlasting Fitness, and All Things Beauty of Melrose, and Pastene Pasta of Canton are a few of the generous donors. If you are a business or individual interested in donating an item, a service, or a gift certificate, please contact Sharon at [email protected]. This charity event is our primary fundraiser that allows us to give out scholarships to graduating high school seniors each year and to support the Lodge's other philanthropic endeavors including the Wakefield Food Pantry, Wakefield's Council of Clubs holiday food baskets, The Boys and Girls Club of Wakefield pasta dinner, Alzheimer's Association and Cooley's Anemia Foundation. Tickets are $12 each and can be reserved by the deadline of April 11th by contacting President Paula Sasso for information at [email protected].
