This is a tough post to write. Our beloved handsome boxer is just simply not enjoying his last years as he should. I have raised him since he was a puppy and moves and kids and life. Right now he is just simply not having a good time at home with us. The kids are noisy and always in his space and he is AMAZINGLY tolerant but most just stays in the back room away from it all. It makes us so sad to see him just tuck away from everyone, but we get it! We are looking for someone who is looking for a forever companion. Someone who loves to just be in the presence of another kind soul. Here are some of the specifics: -13 years old, looks like puppy still - incredibly healthy, have his most recent vet records. -up to date on vaccines - house trained, crate trained. Although we just let him free roam house. -DOES NOT LIKE OTHER DOGS, this is a big one. In his old age he just does not tolerate other dogs, will be aggressive towards dogs, dogs only. Absolutely no people aggression, we have two toddlers whom he lets boss him around. New home: -fenced yard for him to potty and roam without the stress factor of other dog interactions. He is an old man who just needs no stress and is accustomed to his own yard and space. -he is old so no plans of big hikes or long walks. He is in perfect health but is is an old man. He’s dream is to just lay in the sun next to some other wonderful mellow soul. -someone who is looking for companionship, he is a magic soul of a dog and I want to be sure is he going to a home who is seeking their match. If this sounds like you, please reach out. I am in no rush, and if I’m being honest I’m looking for the right home, one that is better than ours. And right now he is in a pretty great home, just not the way I saw him living out his days. I wish kids didn’t change his life in this way, but I want what’s best for him. I want him happy!
