I am designing a technology product to improve job opportunities for individuals without college degrees or special training, and to help employers more effectively hire these individuals. I am doing initial, exploratory customer research and looking to hear a range of perspectives from people who manage hiring. If you have responsibility for hiring, I’d love to hear from you. I’m specifically looking to speak to individuals who hire for positions that do not require college degrees, technical certifications, or other formal credentials. I’m initially looking at retail and foodservice as target areas, but open to other areas as well. You do not need to be the owner or manager of your place of business, as long as you have hiring responsibility. I don't need any private or personally-identifying information, or anything that would identify where you work. I'd like to hear about your experience hiring for 30-45 minutes by phone, and afterwards will email or text you a $25 online gift card to Target/Walmart/Amazon (your choice) to thank you for your time.
