FALSE. Just another strawman argument to distract from reality. Democrats (since the Civil War, at least) have always been the party of hate and racism. That's never changed in 160 years. The "Face" of racism may have changed, but not the party affiliation. You may notice Democrats use racism as a political platform and they call people 'racist' all the time, when they're losing an argument. In the 1860's, the Republican party was formed, specifically to fight for freedom for ALL Americans, against the Democrat slave owners. Abraham Lincoln headed the Republican party. He won the presidency, and then he went about the task of freeing the Black Slaves from the Democrat slave owners. The Democrats fought hard to keep their slaves, but they lost in the end. Votes in our federal government came up, Amendments like freeing the slaves, giving Blacks the right to vote, etc. Democrats voted against all of it. They didn't want Blacks to be free and they sure as hell didn't want Blacks to vote. Republicans elected their first Black senator in 1870. --- Democrats didn't elect their first Black senator until 1993. That 123-year lag time tells you all you need to know about the Democrat's feelings toward Blacks. Check out the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments and tell me how much Democrats love Blacks. The democrats have been pissed off ever since the Civil War, and they have wanted to get those slaves back for a long time. The NRA was actually formed to help Republicans and Blacks fight against the Democrats. Another reason why the Democrats hate the NRA. This shit with the Democrats and their hatred for American freedom goes DEEP. The shit you see to day, started 160 years ago. Well praise be, in the 1960's the Dems came up with a plan to ENSLAVE Blacks all over again, using a new method: It's called FREE STUFF. 60 years ago, Lyndon Johnson figured out how to "Enslave" Blacks with his "Great Society" government assistance program, to "Help" Blacks. It is known as our modern-day Welfare Programs. -- Free stuff. Johnson knew that if he gave enough "Free stuff" to Blacks, they would vote for Democrats, as he said it: "for the next 200 years" It worked. Today, Blacks regularly vote 85% Democrat. They do that because many of them have been conditioned to believe if they don't vote Democrat, they may lose their welfare benefits. Democrats figured out there's two ways to make a slave: Work them without pay, or pay them without work. Oh, the biggest "shift" in politics I can think of, is this: Back in the 1960's, the 'anti-government' liberal Hippie movement was in full swing. Radical, long-haired Liberals, protesting everything in sight, spitting on soldiers coming back from Viet Nam, that sort of thing. "Question Authority" was a liberal-democrat 'anti-establishment' mantra back in the '60's. Here's what happened: Those liberal, "anti-government" hippies grew up and BECAME the government. According to those same old hippies from the 1960's, you're supposed to worship the government, because they own it now. The Democrats went from 'anti-government' to 'everyone should worship government'. That's about the only political swing that really happened in the last 60 years.
