Description
STRONGSVILLE, OH — SouthPark Mall will welcome customers for the first time in weeks on Tuesday. The mall will open to shoppers at 11 a.m.
Gov. Mike DeWine lifted the restriction on consumer retail stores on Tuesday, clearing the way for the mall's reopening. To protect shoppers from the new coronavirus, SouthPark has instituted new cleaning and safety measures.
Hand sanitizer stations will be strategically positioned around the mall, specifically around entrances and exits, the food court and bathrooms. Mall leadership recommends shoppers wear masks while inside, but masks are not required. Shoppers should also maintain 6-feet of distance from other people.
SouthPark Mall stores can limit how many customers are inside at any given time. Each store sets its own guidelines, so shoppers can contact that store if they want details on their safety protocols. Stores that hit capacity will have socially distanced markers outside for shoppers waiting to get in.
Salons inside the mall will reopen on May 15. Restaurants can begin in-building dining on May 21. However, some food court restaurants can serve customers immediately.
SouthPark Mall is limiting the number of restrooms available to shoppers so the janitorial team can frequently disinfect and clean. Furniture in seating areas has also been pushed further apart.

Here are the mall's hours upon reopening:
Monday - Saturday: 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.Sunday: 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
