STRONGSVILLE, OH — Two employees at the Strongsville Market District have tested positive for COVID-19, the company announced. The store is deep cleaned every night and sanitized throughout the day, the grocer said. Any areas the impacted employees had contact with will be immediately sanitized, the chain told News 5. Store hours will not be impacted by the positive cases. Since the start of the pandemic between 19 and 102 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Strongsville, according to the Cuyahoga County Board of Health. Cuyahoga County is one of 19 Ohio counties classified as "red" for its "very high" rate of COVID-19 spread. The county is now averaging nearly 179 new COVID-19 cases per day, according to the Ohio Department of Health. The report said the majority of new cases in the county, 88 percent, are emerging from non-congregate settings. Congregate settings include locations like prisons and nursing homes. "Outpatient visits for coronavirus more than tripled during the past three weeks. It's critical that the residents of Cuyahoga County remain vigilant and do all they can to reduce their risk and exposure to coronavirus. We are continuing to monitor their data closely," Gov. Mike DeWine said on Thursday.
