Keeping our hotel running smoothly is vital to our guest's experience – as Houseman/Maintenance Tech you’ll keep everything looking sharp and running like clockwork. From simple repairs to forward-thinking for the next day. With naturally high standards to support our own, you’ll approach every task with dedication and pride. Our Maintenance Technicians are thorough professionals with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work on a team or alone and observe all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition. You must have flexible scheduling availability to include mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays. Job Requirements: Recognize, report and correct potential safety hazards (broken doors or railings, fire hazards, etc.) and notify supervisors of any damages, deficits and disturbances Complete basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet and tile floor maintenance and repairs Complete painting, minor roof repairs and other exterior projects Complete pool and exercise room equipment repairs if necessary Ongoing involvement in preventative maintenance programs Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate Work with Management team to identify and accomplish all technical and skilled related projects Prepares all necessary reports during each shift for management team When required, report to Hotel in bad weather conditions for maintenance of Hotel's exterior (snow shoveling, ice melting, etc.) Duties & Responsibilities Ensuring all public spaces are clean and presentable for our guests. This includes pool, fitness center, guest laundry, lobby, meeting room, and stairwells. Complete minor repairs such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, painting, repairs to pipe lines, toilets, sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment, etc. Perform preventative maintenance duties as detailed in the hotel preventative maintenance calendar Ensure that assigned equipment is prepared and operational for the following day’s work Monitor efficiency of equipment and electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, guest entrance/access doors, television sets, lighting systems and make minor repairs and/or replacements to ensure things are working properly and efficiently at all times Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and counters. Paint and finish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms, if needed Maintain front entrance area, parking area and/or garage, and street entrance in a clean and presentable manner Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the exterior of the facility, grounds, pool and exercise/sport facilities (including property signs and lighting) Ensure the security of inventory and assets such as tools, supplies, equipment, furniture, televisions, etc. using established hotel procedures Replenish supplies and inventory in a timely and efficient manner, and minimize waste Follow established safety procedures at all times. Immediately report any health and safety incident, unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor or manager on duty
