Hi, I am 49years old and a Deadhead looking to getting back into playing again. Looking to stay true to the Dead material, as well as mix in the Band/Dylan/etc. covers that they played. Garcia Band music is also in the fold. I play lead, sing, and have the necessary gear to gig. I am looking for like-minded folks who want to get together to iron out the details of the music. I played in a Dead band for 10 years and my view is members should come prepared to play (i.e. know the tunes and their parts) and I see rehearsal as necessary to build rapport, iron out details, and to create our own creative signature. I am not a fan of rushing out to gig just to gig. Music comes first to me, then gigging. I live in Amherst, NH. I have a place to play. It is not very big, but it is workable. I am also willing to travel depending on distance and if the fit is right. I am cool with 420, but no longer cool with people showing up lit (this, I have been guilty of) or boozed up and looking to jam. I am looking for at least intermediate players who are into and want to grow the music. An understanding of basic music theory is necessary. I know some players but I wanted to reach out to see if there is anyone else out there who may be interested. Thanks a lot, Shawn
