Super cute dna confirmed male and female whiteface cockatiels now ready to bond with their forever homes. Hatched in December, they were handfed and hand tamed and are fully weaned on seed, pellets, and fresh veges. Prices range from $200-$275. All our babies are banded and come with a DNA certificate, a Hatch certificate, starter food and some foraging materials. We will provide all the information you need to prepare for and care for them, and we are happy to answer questions and provide support. Most of our buyers keep in regular contact and send photos and updates. We are happy to provide references and answer any other questions you may have. We are selective of who can adopt one of our babies, and we must approve of their environment and cage setup. This ad will stay up as long as we have one or more available. Cockatiels are the smallest of the Cockatoo family and live 20-30 years! Contrary to popular opinion, they are not "starter birds" that you can leave in a cage all day. Although they can do well as a solitary bird, they are actually flocking birds that bond with their mates (owners) for life and desire and need daily companionship, even if it is just being in the same room with you. They have long crests and tails and require larger cages than many advertisers state. They also require toys and healthy diets that consist of quality seed, pellets, and fresh greens and vegetables. Grooming needs to be done by someone with knowledge or a professional, and an annual well check visit with an avian vet is recommended. Please not consider adopting a cockatiel if you are unable to give it your time and companionship or afford the expense.
