Richfield Police Department has created a special, online edition of Home Alone geared toward parents and guardians. There's a video presentation for adults and multiple PowerPoint presentations to share with your children. It's all about preparing your child to stay home alone before or after school, or while you run errands. Please check out www.RichfieldMN.gov/homealone. Remember, there is no magic age at which children develop the maturity and good sense needed to stay home alone but you can help prepare them by discussing the information covered in the presentation(s).
