Description

STRONGSVILLE, OH — As the Strongsville Schools continue in a blended learning framework, with students back in buildings, the district continues to monitor the presence of COVID-19. There are currently 14 students and one staffer in isolation after they tested positive for coronavirus. According to the district, 186 students have been asked to quarantine after possibly being exposed to the virus. Three staffers are also in quarantine. Among district buildings, Strongsville High has been hit hardest by COVID-19. Six high school students are in isolation and 78 have been asked to quarantine. Cuyahoga County is currently "red" for its COVID-19 spread. Ohio is in the midst of an unprecedented surge in cases and hospitalizations and Gov. Mike DeWine will address the state on Wednesday evening. It is unclear if he will simply exhort Ohioans to follow social distancing protocols, or if he will institute new shutdowns.
