Join us as we unveil the region’s new five-year Action Plan at a free luncheon on Wednesday, March 23, at Pybus Public Market. This “whole-of-community” plan was developed by 2,000 residents and is backed by community partners from the private, public and nonprofit sectors. You will get the first glimpse at more than 70 action items, including eight large-scale, game-changer initiatives, spread across several areas of interest. You will learn what community members value most about the region and what they see as its greatest challenges. Each attendee will receive a copy of the Action Plan booklet, along with a report summarizing the key findings from OVOF’s outreach campaign in 2021. The keynote address, “Revitalization and Resiliency,” will be delivered by Jim Sheehan, founder of the Community Building Campus in Spokane and co-author of “One-Block Revolution”, and Katy Sheehan, executive director of the Community Building Foundation in Spokane and co-author of “One-Block Revolution”. The Sheehans will be available between 1 and 1:30 p.m. following the luncheon for a deeper conversation about community building.
