Press release from the City of Richfield: Reminder/Clarification: This year's sold-out event will be held on October 24, not over MEA weekend. More information about other Halloween festivities can be found at: https://www.richfieldmn.gov/Home/Components/News/News/4017/36 Half-Haunted Halloween, Wood Lake Nature Center's non-scary, family-friendly annual event, is back! The event will be held on Saturday, October 24, 1:00-5:00 pm, and is geared for children 10 and under. Come dressed in your own costume! Meet several curious, surprising, and fun characters and participate in touch-free activities for children on the trick-or-treat trail, walk the storybook trail, and go on a self-guided scavenger hunt, which includes a trip across our new boardwalk! Admission is $5 per person (free for FOWL Members). Memberships may be purchased online. Register online at www.richfieldmn.gov/onlineregistration (and browse the Wood Lake Nature Center category). Tickets will not be sold at the door. No food will be served during the program; trick-or-treat bags will be handed out as visitors exit. All visitors five and older will be asked to wear a face covering while participating in the program. Capacity will be drastically reduced compared to previous years, social distancing guidelines will be enforced, and hand-washing will be encouraged at the beginning and end of the trails. Register and pay for each child and adult attending (babies too young to participate are free). A roster of all participants for each tour time will be checked at the door.
