RICHFIELD, MN — Four people in their 20s were killed and another person suffered life-threatening injuries in a wrong-way crash that happened on northbound Interstate 35W Saturday night.
Just before 10 p.m., a Nissan Murano was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of traffic on I-35W near 66th Street, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. A GMC Terrain was going north on the northbound when the two vehicles collided.
Authorities say it's currently unknown if alcohol was involved in the crash.
The driver of the Nissan — Alfredo Torres, 21, of Saint Paul — died in the crash. It's not clear if he was wearing a seat belt.

Fried was not wearing a seat belt, police said.
