Let’s get together and sketch!
Quick Sketch will meet at Preservation Park for this month's field trip. Practice your observational drawing skills as we step back into Oakland's history in this quiet park and sketch historic buildings with Victorian architectural details, flora and fauna, and the Diana Fountain. All artists of every skill level are welcomed.
We will meet at noon in front of the entrance located on Martin Luther King Jr. Street, 1233 Preservation Park Way between 14th Street and 12th Street (down the road from Flax Art).
Bike parking is available, accessible by AC Transit #14 & #29 buses, BART 12th St. Station (and a stroll), and plenty of street parking.
This event is outside: wear comfortable shoes, dress in layers, and bring sun protection as needed.
Basic materials are provided. Feel free to bring your own lightweight and portable sketching supplies.
Note this is not an instructional workshop.
