This is Aspen a 14 month old ~25ish lbs blonde dachshund mutt mix. She’s got short trex arms and a lot of courage! Her previous home had two large pit bulls and at the dog park she plays on the big dog side. I think she would make an awesome companion for a medium/large dog needing a friend. Aspen does NOT get along with cats which is why I’m having to rehome her. For full transparency she’s still very much a high energy puppy with those naughty puppy behaviors, like chewing up shoes, but she’s fully potty trained (I have a doggy door so training may be required if your home situation is different). She also needs basic puppy training in general, I’ve had to pick up overtime at work these past few months and really haven’t given her the training and attention she needs. Lastly, she is afraid of strangers (never aggressive, just fearful). Being in our home a couple days was all it took for her to trust us. She LOVES to snuggle.
