JD Thinning has been in operation since 2008 running departments in thinning, excavation, landscaping, mowing, and hauling. We are currently looking for a Lead Sawyer for our thinning division. Description: - Hours are 7am-4pm (times may vary occasionally) M-F - Lead a team of 2-3 laborers to fall and trim trees, and provide spring and fall clean up - Schedule incoming jobs - Drive company truck with needed equipment to and from the jobsite - Maintain equipment and keep truck clean Requirements: - Hazard tree climbing - Well versed proper and safe use of chainsaws - Fall trees accurately and efficient - Running a grapple and chipper - Experience running a crew and managing project schedule with assistance from the office - Bidding experience preferred but not required. Training will be given on how to bid jobs if no prior experience, or need more development. - Boots, gloves, and thinning chaps required. One pair of thinning chaps provided.
