BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt. ARRESTS DRIVER'S LICENSE REVOKED/SUSPENDED Lynn Staples, 60, of the 2100 block of Hebron Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked driver's license, not wearing a seat belt, and was arrested at 6:34 p.m. Sept. 15 at Barclay Boulevard and Aptakisic Road. Her bond was set at $2,500, and she was assigned a court date of Oct. 16.Jose L. Salas, 18, of the 1100 block of Victoria Avenue, North Chicago, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked driver's license, operating an uninsured vehicle, speeding over the statutory limit (52 mph in a 35 mph zone), and was arrested at 9:34 p.m Sept. 13 at Arlington Heights Road north of Bernard. His bond was set at $2,500, and he was assigned a court date of Oct. 16 in Mundelein. ISSUANCE OF WARRANT Brennon M. Mitchell, 28, of the 14300 block of S Dearborn Street, Riverdale, is accused of having a warrant for bond forfeiture from the Aurora Police Department, and was arrested at 10:47 p.m. Sept. 12 at West Dundee and Arlington Heights roads. His bond was set at $10,000, and he was assigned a court date of Oct. 13. INCIDENTS VANDALISM A resident in the 100 block of Wildflower Circle reported at 10:40 a.m. Sept. 14 that there was offensive language painted on a bridge behind their property. Police investigated and found an expletive message regarding Black Lives Matter, as well as "Trump 2020," painted on the railings of the bridge, and "Trump" painted on the floor of the bridge. The resident had contacted the Homeowner Association about the ongoing problem in August.The manager at AT&T, 1400 block of N Barclay Boulevard, called police at 1:58 p.m. Sept. 15 to report graffiti was found in the rear of the property earlier that morning. They believed the damage had been done at some point over the weekend because no one had been on the property since the prior Friday. Police found "ARMR" painted in large black and gray letters on the east wall. The manager said they will be reviewing footage from security cameras located in the rear of the property. CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO A VEHICLE A resident in the 600 block of Farrington Drive called police at 1:13 a.m. Sept. 15 to report two juvenile males had just broken into their vehicles. The males took off in their own vehicle after the resident shouted at them. Nothing was reported to have been taken and no damage was observed or reported. ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY A person reported at 4:16 p.m. Sept. 17 they were driving eastbound on Half Day Road near Buffalo Grove Road in the median lane next to a landscaping truck. A red plastic garbage can fell out of the truck and struck the rear passenger side panel of their vehicle. They found several scratches.
