BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt. ARRESTS BATTERY Lee S. Fainman, 45, of the 900 block of Banyan Tree Lane, Buffalo Grove, is accused of battery, and was arrested 2:04 p.m. Oct. 2. According to police, Fainman confronted a property manager inquiring his mother, the homeowner, about work being done on the roof of the home. The property manager told police that Fainman was upset they weren't wearing a mask and asked for identification. When the property manager went to their car to retrieve identification, Fainman kicked the door of their car, slamming their legs and hip. The property manager went to hand Fainman their ID, but he refused it and kicked the car a few more times as they were wedged in the opening. The top part of the door struck their head and then the property manager's head hit the car. Fainman then chased the property manager around the car, according to the report. He was given a bond date of Oct. 19. DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE Darrell Simbron Anzueto, 19, of the 900 block of W Norman Lane, Wheeling, is accused of driving with a suspended/revoked driver's license, speeding over the statutory limit 54 mph in a 35 mph zone), and was arrested at 3:42 p.m. Oct. 7 at Dundee and McHenry roads. His bond was set at $2,500, and he was assigned a court date of Nov. 20. Maribel Ortega, 31, of the 2600 block of W Glen Flora Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked driver's license, operating a vehicle when registration was suspended, operating an uninsured vehicle, and was arrested at 6:37 p.m. Oct. 7 at Barclay Boulevard and Aptakisic Road. Her bond was set at $2,500, and she was assigned a court date of Nov. 20 in Mundelein.Albaro Salaices Garcia, 39, of the 400 block of 7th Street, Wheeling, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked driver's license, illegal lane usage, and was arrested at 9:31 p.m. Oct. 10 at Dundee and Buffalo Grove roads. Bond was set at $250, and they were assigned a court date of Nov. 20. UNLICENSED DRIVER Jose P. Medrano, 22, of the 3100 block of N Betty Drive, Arlington Heights, is accused of being an unlicensed driver, speeding over the statutory limit (54 mph in a 35 mph zone), and was arrested at 7:35 Oct. 10 in the 900 block of Dundee Road. His bond was set at $2,500, and he was assigned a court date of Nov. 20 in Mundelein. Ashley M. Mailhiot, 24, of the 400 block of E Dundee Road, Buffalo Grove, is accused of being an unlicensed driver, speeding over the statutory limit (57 mph in a 35 mph zone), and was arrested at 12:22 a.m. Oct. 6 at E Dundee Road and Saxon Place. Her bond was set at $2,500, and she was assigned a court date of Nov. 20 in Mundelein. IN-STATE WARRANT Vivekananda Siddavatam, 31, of the Deer Park, is accused of having a warrant for their arrest for failure to appear in Tazewell County, speeding (39 mph in a 25 mph zone), and was arrested at 1:07 p.m. Oct. 4. They posted bond and were assigned a court date of Nov. 16.Aaron Zuniga Tenorio, 33, of the 700 block of Trace Drive, Buffalo Grove, is accused of a bond forfeiture warrant, and was arrested at 4:58 p.m. Oct. 10. His bond was set at $22,000, and he was scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 11. DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL Yurii Ambroziak, 24, of the 600 block of Sutton Court, Wheeling, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, not having a driver's license/permit, operating an uninsured vehicle, speeding over the statutory limit (52 mph in a 35 mph zone), and was arrested at 2:48 a.m. Oct. 11 in the 0-100 block of W Dundee Road. They were given a $3,000 bond, and assigned a court date of Nov. 6 in Rolling Meadows. David R. Lev, 57, of the 700 block of Skokie Boulevard, Northbrook, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol level over .08, operating an uninsured vehicle, speeding over the statutory limit, illegal lane usage, and was arrested at 8:22 p.m. Oct. 4 at Lake Cook Road and Milwaukee Avenue. His bond was set at $1,000, and he was assigned a court date of Oct. 28 in Waukegan. CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO RESIDENCE Emmanuell Castrejon, 30, of the 900 block of Vera Lane, Wheeling, is accused of criminal trespass to a residence when person is present battery/bodily harm, and was arrested at 10:03 p.m. Oct. 6 in Buffalo Grove. His bond hearing was scheduled for Oct. 7 in Rolling Meadows. INCIDENTS THEFT $500 AND UNDER A resident in the 500 block of Longwood Drive reported at 9:10 a.m. Oct. 13 that Amazon packages ordered as delivered on Oct. 6 were missing. DISPUTE NON-SPECIFIC A customer at BP Amoco, 540 N McHenry Lane, called police at 10:12 a.m. Oct. 8 to report that while pumping gas into lawn mowers in the back of his truck, another person confronted him about not wearing a mask though the customer contends they were wearing one. A tense exchange occurred and insults were exchanged. Police warned both parties about the dangers of confronting complete strangers. BURGLARY FROM A MOTOR VEHICLE A resident in the 800 block of Wedgewood Court reported at 2:26 a.m. Oct. 14 they saw a car pull up at a high rate of speed in the neighborhood. They saw two people exit the vehicle, and go inside a car parked in nearby driveway. Eventually, after going through the car in the driveway, they got back in the vehicle they arrived in and took off. The resident who had their car burglarized said they were missing two boxes of ammunition, one that was federal, from the passenger seat. SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT/CIRCUMSTANCES A resident in the 0-100 block of Willow Parkway called police at 1:59 a.m. Oct. 14 to report that three males had opened the door to their car while they were still in it and then ran away. The resident had witnessed the males walk up to various vehicles, open the doors to the cars and then to go through them prior to confronting the resident. CUSTOMER/MANAGEMENT DISPUTE A customer at Burger King, 1515 W Dundee Road called 911 at 2:32 p.m. Oct. 14 to report an employee had thrown a dime at them and it struck the customer in the face. According to the report, the customer said they had ordered "spicy chicken nuggets," which the restaurant was out of, so they instead got "regular chicken nuggets" for $1.65. The customer said they had paid $1.75 and never received change or a receipt. The customer said they pulled around the drive-thru window and asked an employee for the change and a receipt. The customer says the employee got mad and threw the dime at them. The customer wanted the employee arrested for battery. When police talked to the employee, the employee said they had given the customer exact change, but that the customer wouldn't accept it. The employee, stating they didn't want any more trouble, handed the customer a dime. Due to the conflicting accounts of what happened, no charges were filed. STRAY ANIMAL A resident in the 0-100 block of St. Mary's Parkway, reported at 3:40 p.m. Oct. 12 there was a stray rooster. Police were able to capture the animal and transport it to the Lake County Animal Control and Care in Libertyville. THEFT OVER $500 A resident in the 0-100 block of Bernard Drive called police at 3:04 p.m. Oct. 8 to report their lawnmower had been stolen after being left unattended "for a short time." The resident said they had just finished mowing the lawn when the theft occurred. ORDINANCE VIOLATION A person called police at 1:44 p.m. Oct. 4 to report a large outdoor gathering at I94 Exotics, 300 block of Lexington Drive. The caller also said cars were speeding in the area when leaving. Police found a crowd of more than 50 people assembled at the business for a car show. Police observed numerous violations of the village ordinance on wearing facial coverings and social distancing. The owner said more people attended than expected and said they would take corrective actions immediately.
