NEW YORK CITY — A fresh legal gambit by former President Donald Trump and his children to avoid testifying under oath won't stop a civil probe into their financial dealings, Attorney General Letitia James vowed. James on Friday responded to reports that the Trump family would appeal a judge's recent ruling that they must provide sworn testimony and comply with her subpoenas as she investigates the Trump Organization. The ruling gave them 21 days to comply, but the deadline likely will be delayed under an appeal. "Donald J. Trump, Donald Trump, Jr., and Ivanka Trump were ordered by the court to comply with our lawful investigation into Mr. Trump and the Trump Organization's financial dealings," James said in a statement. "While they have the right to seek a delay, they cannot deter us from following the facts and the law wherever they may lead. Make no mistake: My office will continue to pursue this case without fear or favor because no one is above the law." James' statement is only the latest in a bitter legal fight between her and the Trumps. The attorney general's office is investigating potential fraud by Trump Organization members, who James accused of repeatedly misrepresenting the value of family-owned assets. Donald Trump has repeatedly decided the probe as a partisan witch hunt conjured by James, a Democrat. His attorneys sought to block James from interviewing him and his children under oath, but a judge last week shot down that bid
