Making friends as an adult is hard. Let's start a (punk) band! Previous band experience is a plus, but I value connection much more! I'd rather play with someone I enjoy hanging out with than someone amazing at their instrument. I sing, write lyrics, and play bass. I want to sing in this band, but am open to having someone else play bass! I'm also down to work on/play on songs you've already written. My goal is to practice weekly, eventually record an EP, and play some shows locally. I'm a black woman in my late 20s (unfortunately, I've learned the hard way that it's better people know that before we link up). I have experience in bands where I mostly played for fun with friends! We recorded music and played some local shows. All of those bands were primarily punk bands. I'm happy to send some links in my reply to your initial e-mail. It would be great if you could send a sample of your work (a video, Soundcloud link, etc). Again, I'm looking for people that I vibe with. I'm not expecting that we'll agree on everything, but being cool with LGBTQ+ identities and statements like "Black Lives Matter" is the bare minimum!
