BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt. ARRESTS BOND FORFEITURE Gabriela A. Carrillo, 41, of the 200 block of Armstrong, Buffalo Grove, is accused of having a warrant for bond forfeiture, and was picked up and arrested at 1:13 a.m. Dec. 13 during a traffic stop at Elmhurst and Camp McDonald roads. She was released after posting a $15,000 bond. Carrillo is due back in court on Jan. 27, 2021, in Rolling Meadows. LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT WITH PROPERTY DAMAGE Lucas Leonard Krause, 26, of the 500 block of Manda Lane, Wheeling, is accused of leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, failure to reduce speed/crash, and was arrested at 11:09 p.m. Dec. 15. His bond was set at $2,500, and he was assigned a court date of Jan. 15, 2021, in Mundelein. DOMESTIC BATTERY Paul Stanley Chwierut, of Buffalo Grove, is accused of two counts of domestic battery, and was arrested at 3:52 p.m. Dec. 16 in Vernon Hills. He was assigned a court date of Dec. 17 in Waukegan. INCIDENTS SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES A resident in the 900 block of Cooper Court called police at 11:47 p.m. Dec. 13 to report they had heard noises around the residence and that someone had rung the doorbell. Police noted that they checked the immediate area and nothing was found. They also said everything was fine throughout the exterior of the home. DECEPTION: CREDIT CARDS A Dundee Road resident reported at 9:32 p.m. Dec. 11 that they were the victim of credit card fraud. They said they had deposited some checks into their account via an ATM. The resident said they had taken their receipt for forgot his debit card in the machine. They found a number of unauthorized transactions had happened on the card. DISTURBANCE NON-SPECIFIC Police responded to Woodman's Market, 1550 E Deerfield Parkway, at 4:09 p.m. Dec. 11 on a report of a disturbance between two customers. One of the customers told police they had turned into a parking spot in front of the main entrance of the store. Another person stated that they were waiting for a vehicle to pull out into which the complainant had pulled into. When they approached the other vehicle, the complainant said the other driver opened their car door, striking them on their left cheek, below the eye. The person admitted to police they grabbed the other by the arm and were yelling at them. Neither party said they were injured and only wanted the incident documented. Police admonished one party to park more carefully and the other to not lay hands on people in the future. FORCIBLE ENTRY An employee at Dental Design, 1151 N Arlington Heights Road reported at 1:02 p.m. Dec. 17 an attempted burglary to the storage shed used by the practice to house non-pharmaceutical supplies. The contents of the shed had not been disturbed, and it appeared nothing was missing.
