Press release from the Village of Buffalo Grove: Buffalo Grove Police Sergeant Michelle Kondrat retires today, December 2, 2020 after proudly serving Buffalo Grove for more than 24 years. Sergeant Kondrat was sworn in as a police officer in 1996, where she served in many different roles prior to being promoted to sergeant in 2015. As a valued member of the agency, Sergeant Kondrat focused her knowledge and experience in many areas throughout her career, which include being a School Resource Officer (2006-2009), Investigator (2009-2015), and Traffic Sergeant (2017-2020). During her career, she also served as a Field Training Officer, Evidence Technician, and was a Team Leader for the Lake County Major Crime Task Force (2013-2015). Sergeant Kondrat is a graduate of Northwestern University's School of Police Staff and Command (2018). Sergeant Kondrat has earned numerous awards over her many years of service, which include multiple Employee of the Quarter honors, a Certificate of Commendation, multiple Honorable Mention Honors, and a Unit Citation.
