Thankfully, the driver was not harmed in the incident, and the car was successfully removed from the river by the afternoon. Cassie Fleischer, who has worked at the Elmwood Avenue store since 2017, believes Starbucks is targeting her because of her efforts with the union. Fleischer cited an apparent change in scheduling policy that would force her to either quit or work more hours, stating: "I really think it has something to do with the union."
