VIRGINIA — For more than 100 years, Girl Scouts have been selling cookies in one of the country's longest-running and tastiest fundraisers. We all can't wait to get our hands on a box of Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Do-Si-Dos and the other delicious cookie flavors. Girl Scouts kicked off booth sales Feb. 7, but now, contactless online ordering and delivery is here for the first time, the Girl Scouts said. Cookie fans can order directly from a local Girl Scout troop or find a booth sale near you via the Girl Scouts Cookie Finder online, based on your ZIP code. Want to surprise your child away at college or a long-distance friend? You can also send a Girl Scout Cookie care package directly from the bakery to a loved one or anywhere in the U.S. And if you're on the road when the cookie urge strikes, download the Waze app to track down a local booth sale. Oh, and did we forget to mention there's a new cookie? Adventurefuls are here: crispy brownie-inspired cookies with a caramel-flavored creme center and a sprinkling of sea salt. Talk about delicious. Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta In addition to Adventurefuls, all your favorites are returning: Thin Mints, Samoas, Trefoils, Do-Si-Dos, Tagalongs, Lemon-Ups, Toffee-Tastic and Girl Scout S'mores are also available. Most cookie flavors are $5 per box, with specialty cookies — such as gluten free, Toffee-Tastic and Girl Scout S'mores — priced at $6 per box. All proceeds from the sales stay local, and are used to fund troop activities, provide scholarships and fund volunteer trainings. Customers can also donate cookies to our military through the Smiles4Military program, and no shipping charges will be applied. Cookie season ends March 13, so mark your calendars and don't miss out on the opportunity to order your favorite box. Patch Editor Kara McIntyre contributed reporting to this story.
