Here are the top three stories in Charleston today: The Charleston Police Department has announced the opening of its second community center in downtown Charleston. The center, located at 1 Wilson Street, will offer programs for adults and children alike. The center will be staffed two times a week using community outreach units in an effort to build a strong rapport with the community. (Live 5 News WCSC)In a show of solidarity, the Charleston City Hall has begun flying the Ukrainian flag. The city is raising awareness about the invasion of a democratic country by its neighboring Russia. This is not the first flag of a foreign country that the city has flown, according to Mayor John Tecklenburg. (The State)Pleasant Family Dentistry announced its Day of Smiles Event on Mar. 19. The event offers free dental services for individuals over 12 years of age. The free dental services are an effort to help those who are underinsured or uninsured in the Charleston region.
