LIVERMORE, CA — A house in Livermore has been deemed uninhabitable following a garage fire Thursday night, the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department reports. The fire broke out Thursday at around 9:50 p.m. at a single-family home on 660 Debra Street. Fire and emergency crews confirmed an active fire in the garage, and put out the fire about 30 minutes after the arrival of the first unit, the LPFD said. The home suffered smoke and "extensive damage" to the garage, and the City of Livermore Building Department determined that the home is uninhabitable. One resident was transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation, and crews remained on-scene for cleanup and investigation. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
