HILLTOWN, PA — Two men killed in a small plane crash in Bucks County this week were identified by authorities Saturday, according to multiple reports. Alfred George Piranian, 74, of Chalfont, and Brian Fillippini, 55, of Philadelphia, were killed Thursday when the small plane they were piloting crashed at the intersection of Brittany and Victoria lanes in Perkasie, Fox 29 reported. Filippini, a husband and father of three, was the plane's owner, according to ABC6. The aircraft went down around 5 p.m. near Pennridge Central Middle School. The plane had departed from Doylestown Airport and was en route to Gunden Airport in Perkasie, ABC6 reported, citing the Federal Aviation Administration. Hilltown Township Police Officer Christopher Englehart called the pilot a hero for managing to avoid multiple homes near the crash site, Fox 29 reported.
